Richard Cooper owns Photoflex Studios, a Liverpool-based corporate photography company that has been in business for more than fifty years. During that time, he has produced images on a variety of professional cameras from a huge studio camera using 10” x8” film, a specialist rotating panoramic camera, a wide range of rollfilm cameras, and recently, digital cameras.
His images have included exteriors and interiors of almost every kind of building including;- cathedrals and churches, museums and art galleries, houses and apartments, office blocks and factories, restaurants and hotels. He has photographed a vast range of industrial subjects including;- massive oil tanker propellors, ships, steel and paper mills, pharmaceutical production facilities, oil refineries, salt works, food and furniture factories, and many others.
In the studio he has provided images of;- cars, motor bikes, racing cycles, jewellery, food, furniture, stationery, glassware, insulation, electrical goods, fashion items, etc.
As an alternative to making images of subjects required by his clients, he decided to market his own private images. This was easier to do through a separate company, so Coo was formed in 2004.
